Coppini Caffe and terrace
Coppini Caffé is a bright, spacious split-level coffee shop with tables outside where customers can sip their cappuccino in the warm weather. Open seven days a week, the café sells panini, toasties, sandwiches, soup, baguettes, wraps and mixed platters. ‘The panini and the toasties are the most popular,' says manager Jean Cooke. ‘Something hot, along with the Coppini special, which is soup and a toastie. I think the panini are excellent.'
Coppini's opened just over two years ago on the site of a former menswear shop at 5 Gloucester Road. ‘It was a bit slow at first but it's really, really picked up,' she says. ‘There was obviously a real demand for something like this.'
Ross residents can also get their high quality coffee fix at Coppini's, as the town is refreshingly free of homogenised high street coffee chains. ‘We sell anything from your ordinary Americano right through to Moccha, Latte, Cappuccino or hot chocolate, of course. We've got a very loyal clientele - people who come back time and again.'
