The famous viewSymonds Yat is a picturesque village split across both sides of the Wye in the lush Forest of Dean. One side of the village is in Herefordshire, while the other is in Gloucestershire. This is perhaps the most iconic part of the Ross area, a place of great beauty.

Symonds Yat East is also home to the Saracen's Head Inn which even has an ancient hand-operated cable ferry allowing customers and hikers to cross to the opposite banks.

Oh, and a ‘yat' is a gate or pass - this one is certainly a gateway to some spectacular natural beauty.
